2003 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Our winemakers Dimitri Tchelistcheff, Ted Henry and William Jarvis only designate a wine as reserve when they feel it is extraordinary. The previous two Reserves were 1997 and 2001. This 2003 vintage is a wine of amazing finesse and grace. With a deep amethyst hue and a bouquet of clove and cherries, it is sure to intrigue you. Flavors of deep red berries are ample, and 25 months in new French Haute Futaie oak barrels adds nuances of toasty vanilla to tempt you even more. With over 4 years of bottle aging it is as smooth as silk. Ready to be enjoyed now, this wine will also continue to cellar well until 2015.

2005 Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Franc as a varietal often goes unrecognized on its own due to its popular use in blended wines. But Dimitri Tchelistcheff, our Winemaker Consultant, considers our Cabernet Franc to be one of the best wines he produces; which makes it no surprise that this varietal is one of our most sought after. The Jarvis 2005 Cabernet Franc has a deep lavender brilliance in the glass which adds to the delight of the drinking experience. Eighteen months of barrel aging in new French Haute Futaie oak adds a hint of toasty vanilla to the lavender and cassis aromas of this wine. A delightful combination of spicy blueberry and black cherry flavors linger elegantly throughout the finish. This charming wine can be enjoyed immediately upon release, and because of its concentration of fruit and incredible structure should also age beautifully through 2012.

2008 Finch Hollow Chardonnay
This Finch Hollow Chardonnay is made of grapes from a special vineyard called “Finch Hollow”. It is a small plot that in previous years was harvested by flocks of Finches and Blackbirds. After all our vineyards were netted and completely harvested by ourselves, our Winemaker Consultant Dimitri Tchelistcheff, noted that it was a distinct terroir which contributed an intense tropical fruit character. In this unique setting the vines grow in shallow soil on a steep hillside. Year after year we are impressed with the chardonnay from Finch Hollow. It is barrel fermented in new French oak, and sur-lie aged with weekly stirring. The result is a bright, sunshine yellow wine with floral aromas and ripe mouth filling fruit – an elegant wine from an amazing harvest sure to make those you share it with feel privileged. This wine is ready to enjoy now.

2008 Reserve Chardonnay
The Reserve Chardonnay is made from the same barrels of wine as the Finch Hollow Chardonnay. The Finch Hollow is that vineyard which was preferred by the birds prior to its netting. Winemaker Consultant Dimitri Tchelistcheff had us use wine from the top half of the barrels, a unique winemaking step that leads up to bottling it unfined and unfiltered so as to retain all the subtle flavor elements. This along with aging 10 months in new French oak barrels and complete malo-lactic fermentation produced our most full-bodied wine with rich canary hues and true varietal essence that has an amazingly long, smooth finish gratifying even the red wine lover. We suggest enjoying this wine through 2013.
