96 Points from Wine Enthusiast "...It's a splendid Cabernet, with the tannins soft and velvety. Steve Heimoff, Wine Enthusiast. Also picked as a cellar selection, GOLD MEDAL winning wine and 95 points from Beverage Testing Institute.
2010 Finch Hollow Chardonnay95 Points Wine Enthusiast
Year after year we are impressed with the Chardonnay from Finch Hollow. It is barrel fermented in new French oak, and sur-lie aged with weekly stirring. The result is a bright, sunshine yellow wine with aromas of coconut and caramen leading to ripe mouth-filling lemon and apple flavors - an elegant wine from a remarkable harvest sure to make those you share it with feel privileged.
2010 Unfiltered Finch Hollow Chardonnay96 Points "Editor's Choice" - Wine Enthusiast!
96 Points "Editor's Choice" - Wine Enthusiast. This unfiltered Chardonnay is made from the same barrels of wine as the Finch Hollow Chardonnay. The Finch Hollow is that vineyard which was preferred by the birds prior to netting. Winemaker, Te Henry, has followed the innovation of consultant Dimitri Tchelistcheff in using wine from the top half of the barrels. This unique winemaking step contributes to being able to bottle the wine unfined and unfiltered so as to retain all the subtle flavor elements.
2007 Cabernet Franc92 Points Wine Enthusiast!
92 Points Wine Enthusiast. The Jarvis 2007 Cabernet Franc spent twenty-six months of aging in new French Nevers Oak barrels that provide a hint of toasty oak and vanilla to the berry and floral aromas of this wine. Having been cave aged, this wine was release when our winemaker felt it was ready for full enjoyment.
2010 Tempranillo
Dimitri Tchelistcheff, long-time Jarvis wine consultant and former winemaker, suggested planting just an acre to compliment our other wines. Its very name means “early” from the Spanish word “temprano”. It is our first red variety to harvest each year. This Tempranillo greets you with its deep violet-black color and robust aromas of cherries and chocolate toffee. Tempranillo is one of the most food-friendly wines. A perfect choice to serve with pork and cuts of beef. This wine is best enjoyed from its youth to six years of age.
2008 Merlot93 Points Wine Enthusiast!
93 POINTS - WINE ENTHUSIAST; GOLD MEDAL AND 93 POINTS FROM THE BEVERAGE TESTING INSTITUTE. A small vintage yielded a Merlot the Wine Enthusiast called "extraordinarily rich." With deep amethyst hues, medium-body and opulent red berry fruit flavors this wine was aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels . Barrel aging allowed this wine to integrate its red berry flavor characteristics into an elegant food-friendly wine.
2009 Finch Hollow Chardonnay Unfiltered91 Points Wine Enthusiast!
Nine months of aging in new French oak barrels and complete malolactic fermentation produced a full-bodied wine with rich golden hues and true varietal essence that has an amazingly long, smooth finish, gratifying even the red wine lover. This wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered and is ready to enjoy now but should continue to drink beautifully for four to six years. 91 Points from BTI
2007 Lake William Blend93 Points Wine Enthusiast!
93 Points - GOLD MEDAL from the Beverage Testing Institute and 93 points from the Wine Enthusiast. The 2007 Lake William, follows in the footsteps of the 2006 Lake William, the winner of the famous World Tasting Event. Surely the 2007 with its sensational mouth feel could also win such an event.
