The 2010 vintage Merlot was off to a slow start in Napa Valley, but eventually gave way to good flavor and color development across the board. This is especially true for our 2010 Merlot. Our cool, hillside vineyards, perfect for Merlot, coupled with the season's growing conditions, helped us craft a Merlot with deep garnet colors accompanied by flavors of cherry and cassis. A creamy texture and notes of vanilla result from 21 months in 100% new French Haute Futaie oak. Once bottled, the wine was allowed to age in our perfect cave conditions, making it ready for your enjoyment upon release in April 2013.
