2010 Tempranillo

WIth the longer hangtime allowed by our cooler climate vineyards, our Tempranillo greets you with its deep violet-black color, followed by robust aromas of cherries and chocolate toffee. The 2010 vintage of this wine enjoyed 12 months in new French oak, followed by extended aging in our perfect cave conditions before its release in May 2012, when our winemaker determined it was just right for enjoyment. This wine is best enjoyed from its youth to six years of age.

92 Points. Gold Medal. Beverage Testing Institute. Deep violet color. Rich aromas of hickory smoked bacon, cherry blackberry compote and fresh herbs follow through on a round, supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with excellent depth and balance. Finishes in a mineral accented fade with chewy, ripe tannins. A nicely structured tempranillo that will excel with prime rib and other beef dishes.
