The 2000 JARVIS Lake William received a Gold Medal at the American Wine Society Competition held in State College, Pennsylvania. One hundred ninety-six wineries entered a total of 1,038 wines into the competition this year.

The American Wine Society is a national non profit consumer organization devoted to educating people on all aspects of wine. The American Wine Society competition has been held annually since 1986.
