Beverage Tasting Institute’s Top 100
After reviewing 4,952 wines, the Beverage Testing Institute listed the Best of 2002- Tasting’s Top 100 and 3 JARVIS wines made the list!
“Quite a few selections were never readily available on retailer’s shelves and will be a challenge to find now but the point of this exercise is less to produce a shopping list than a distribution of the collective wisdom of the staff and guest tasters who have toiled in the pursuit of identifying excellence in a glass.”

1999 JARVIS Cabernet Sauvignon 95 points
Brilliiant ruby red hue. Black current, green olive and cedar aromas. A rich entry leads to a lng beautifully structured finish with elegant fruit, balances tannins and vibrant acidity. This does not hit you over the head; rather is charms you with its grace and finesse. (Tasted 7/1/02)
1999 JARVIS Lake William 94 points
Brilliant ruby red hue. Black currant, plum, thyme and oak aromas. A rich entry leads to a moderately full bodied palate with a slightly sweet finish with tangy acidity and bright fruit. Finishes with complex dry berry fruit and oak flavors that work very well here.
1999 JARVIS Cabernet Franc 91 points
Brilliant ruby red hue. Black currant, oregano, pepper and cedar aromas. A rich entry leads to a full palate with layers of forward fruit and along beautifully structured palate with elegant tannins and textbook acidity. (tasted 1/1/02)
