The L.A. County Fair is one of the most prestigious wine competitions. It has achieved its ranking over the years by means of the immensely qualified panel of 40 judges who blind taste more than 1,800 wines over a period of four days. These judge connoisseurs, many of whom are winemakers and sommeliers, each possess a wide range of tasting experience and follow strict judging procedures set forth by Nathan Chroman, the Chairman of the competition. These procedures help to assure a fair and accurate comparison of the many wines entered in the competition.
