A visit to Jarvis Estate is an extraordinary journey like no other into the world of exceptional winemaking. The country's first winery built entirely underground offers an intimate glimpse into the meticulous steps that go into producing lush Chardonnays, rich Cabernet Sauvignons and velvety Merlots among others.

The tour through the 45,000 square foot cave is certainly unique, revealing how the Jarvis approach to crafting world-class wines differs from what you will find virtually anywhere else. The tour includes a visit to the Cuve Gallery, a collection of a dozen massive oak vessels assembled in the cave by French coopers and used to make certain the exceptional flavors developed in the estate vineyards aren't compromised. The underground waterfall glimpsed near the end of the tour ensures the steady cave temperatures and humidity that are vital to Jarvis' custom of extended aging in new French oak barrels.

Finally you will have the opportunity to taste the product of these painstaking efforts. The tour concludes with a formal sit-down tasting in our salon where you will sample six Jarvis Estate wines. We ask that you allot at least 90 minutes for your visit so that you can fully enjoy and appreciate the truly unique Jarvis experience.

The Tour & Tasting is available daily by appointment. We strive to keep each tour group small to maximize the experience and offer a limited number of tours each day. As a result, we suggest contacting the winery as early as possible to schedule your visit, as tours often book up weeks in advance. Fee: $60 per person; Inner Circle Members are guests of Leticia and William Jarvis, and do not pay a fee.

Reservations at JARVIS are secured with a credit card, including reservations for Inner Circle Members. Our standard cancellation policy does apply (see below). We cannot accommodate visitors under the age of 21.

Cancellation Policy: Changes and cancellations must be received no less than 24 hours in advance of your visit. This allows for waiting list guests to be accommodated, otherwise the credit card will be charged the full tasting tour fee for the original number scheduled in the party. A 7 day cancellation and change policy applies for groups over 6 people.
